libavahi-gobject-dev software package provides Development headers for the Avahi GObject library, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libavahi-gobject-dev
libavahi-gobject-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libavahi-gobject-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libavahi-gobject-dev *
You will get with libavahi-gobject-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
